Auson Svarttjära Pine tar black paint

Auson Svarttjära Pine tar black paint is a classic pigmented pine tar based on genuine pine tar, turpentine, and linseed oil. It eventually produces a matte black color. Black Pine Tar gives a rejected water surface and protection against UV radiation. Contains 100% active ingredients.

• It has very good penetration and allows the wood to breathe.
• It impregnates the wood well and gives a very water-repellent surface.
• The pigment protects the wood against the sun´s UV radiation and contains 100% active ingredients.

Be aware that is a product of nature where the appearance may vary from different batches. If you have several cans of various productions (see white label on the cover), you should mix these together to avoid color differences.

Range of application

Black Pine Tar can be used on wood:

• that has been previously treated with earth paint (as Falu Black) and copperas,
• as well as on untreated or previously tarred wood
• paneling,
• timber such as facades,
• fences,
• wooden ceilings,
• pallet collars and other outdoor wooden structures.

Instructions for use

• For best results apply Black Pine Tar in warm weather, at least 10 degrees Celsius. The product becomes then easier to work with and it penetrates easier into the timber. For easier penetration of planned wood such as timber facades and other hardwood, Black Pine Tar should be further diluted with 10-20 % turpentine or alcohol.
• As pigment settles during storage, it is important to thoroughly stir the can before painting. Stir although occasionally during painting.

Painting

• Brush to remove dust, dirt, and loose paint. Wash off algae and mold growth. The surface must be dry before painting.
• Paint directly without primer also treat the end tree.
• Use a brush.
• Can also be sprayed, dilute then with 10-20 % turpentine or alcohol, depending on the used spray equipment.
• Recoat after about 1-2 days.
• Paint 1-2 times depending on a new or previously painted surface or type of substrate.
• Ensure good ventilation. Paint outdoors.
