Product Description:

Tikkurila Luja 20 is an extra durable semi-matt paint designed for interior use. It is engineered to withstand high humidity and wear, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, stairwells, hospital corridors, and patient rooms. Luja 20 is also suitable for public spaces and food processing facilities due to its high resistance to detergents and disinfectants.

The paint is easy to apply with a brush, roller, or spray gun, and it dries quickly. Luja 20 is available in a wide range of colors, allowing you to choose the perfect shade for your interior.

Feature Details:

• Gloss: Semi-matt (4/RT classification)
• Coverage: Theoretical coverage: 8-12 m2/l. Practical coverage depends on the application method, conditions, shape, and roughness of the surface to be treated.
• Application method: Brush, roller, or airless spraying – nozzle 0.015″–0.021″ – thinning 0–5% by volume
• Drying time: Touch-dry in approx. 2 hours. Re-coatable after approx. 4 hours.
• Density (kg/l): approx. 1.2 kg/l, ISO 2811.
• Chemical resistance: Resistant to white spirit and other solvents.
• Wash resistance: Very good. Can also be washed with detergents and disinfectants used in hospitals.
• Wet scrub resistance: SFS-EN 13300 class I, ISO 11998.
• Heat resistance: 85 °C, ISO 4211-2 and ISO 4211-3.
• Volume solids (%): 40
• VOC (cat A/a): 30g/l(2010). Luja 20 contains VOC max. 10 g/l.
• Storage: Protect from frost. Badly closed or short cans and/or tinted products do not withstand long storage. Tinted products should be used during the same painting season.

Coating System:

1. Surface preparation: Clean new surfaces of dirt and dust. Level with filler if needed and sand. Prime with Luja Universal Primer, Ykköspohja, or Varma Primer. Prime bathroom panel ceilings with Multistop isolating primer.
2. Previously painted surfaces: Wash, remove loose paint, sand, and fill holes. Prime if necessary.
3. Painting: Stir well and apply 1-2 coats by brush, roller, or spray.

Warnings:

• Protect from frost.
• Use tinted products within the same painting season.
• Wear protective gloves.
• May produce an allergic reaction.
• Contains biocidal products for preservation.
