Description
Tikkurila Pinja Pro wood paint, exterior. Based on zinc oxide technology. The paint provides reliable protection against moisture and dirt for exterior wood panels and cladding boards.

- Practical consumption depends on the application method and conditions, as well as on the shape of the structure to be treated and the quality of the surface.

Usage:
Surface preparation:
- Clean the surface of dirt, dust, and lose material. Make sure the surface is free from mold and mildew before applying the product. Sand the wood surface with sandpaper No P150-320.
- Before applying the next coat, sand with sandpaper No P240-400. Clean off sanding dust before painting.
Primer:
- Pinja Pro Primer, Pinja Universal Primer, Pinja Pro, Pinja Indeep.
Application:
- The surface to be treated must be clean and dry. The moisture content of the wood must be below 20%. During handling and drying, the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated, and the product must be above +18º C and the relative humidity below 70%. Good ventilation must be ensured for optimum results. The product may be dried with or without a drying chamber.
- Mix the product thoroughly before use. Avoid foaming.
- For airless spraying, use approx. 0-10 % diluted product. Spray nozzle 0.013″ – 0.015″, pressure 120-180 bar. The spray angle is selected according to the shape of the object to be painted.
- For airless spraying with air supply use approx. 0 – 10 % diluted product. Spray nozzle 0.013″ – 0.015″, pressure 40 – 140 bar. Atomized air pressure should be approx. 1 – 3 bar. The spray angle shall be selected according to the shape of the object to be painted.
- For conventional spraying, 0-10 % diluted product is used. Spray nozzle 1.6 – 2.0 mm, pressure 2 – 3 bar.
- Wood contains resins and other secretions, especially in branch areas. These may cause yellowing due to temperature and humidity fluctuations.
Drying time:
- +23C 2-4h
- +50C 1-2h
- Caution. C base color will dry more slowly in darker shades.
- Drying and repainting times depend on film thickness, temperature, relative humidity, and ventilation.
Thinner:
- Water.

- The VOC content is 20 g/l paint.
