Tips for painting

Repainting facades that have been painted with mineral (silicate) paint

1. Remove the peeling or weakly attached paint and plaster.
2. Clean mouldy surfaces, surfaces covered with lichen, etc., using a cleaning agent solution in a direction from bottom to top. Rinse the surface with water.
3. Putty the surface faults, using the same composition of mortar as for the initial foundation. The plaster drying and hardening time is affected by the plaster composition used (proportion of lime and cement), air temperature, air humidity and the thickness of the plaster layer.
4. Clean the damaged areas with a mixture of facade paint and primer (proportion 1:2).
5. Paint the surface at least 12 hours prior to priming 1-2 times, using undiluted facade paint.
6. Clean the tools with water.
