Tikkurila Temaprime EUR Alkyd Primer, Fast Drying, Anti-Corrosive, Steel & Machinery, TVT 4000

Tikkurila Temaprime EUR is a fast-drying, one-component, anti-corrosive alkyd primer designed for steel structures, construction, and machinery.

Ideal for rapid production cycles and assembly plants, this primer is also suitable for use in marine environments and has MED certification. It can be used as a primer in alkyd systems for surfaces exposed to weathering or as a single coat in dry indoor areas.

Application:

• Apply to clean and dry surfaces.
• Remove oil, grease, salt, and dirt by suitable means.
• For steel surfaces, blast clean to grade Sa2 or tool clean to St2. Phosphating can help to improve adhesion for cold rolled steel when blasting isn’t an option.
• Thin the product as needed for spraying and brush applications—recommended thinners: Thinner 1053, Thinner 1006.

• Touch dry: 30mins – 1.5hrs (depending on temperature)
• Recoatable: 30mins – 1.5hrs (depending on temperature)

• Color Shades: Reddish brown (TVT 4000) and grey (TVT 4001). Temaspeed Premium tinting
• VOC: 449 g/litre of paint. Maximum VOC content in ready-to-use paint (thinned 13% by volume) is 498 g/l.
